We are so pleased and excited to be showcasing the work of Madison based artist Adria Kaufman. Pieces in "I Know You" are inspired by the baristas, bartenders, servers and other individuals Adria has encountered here in Madison.

Kaufman: "People come into our lives in an instant and that first moment may be the only moment you get. It's hard to tell when meeting someone for the first time what kind of presence they'll have in your life. Is it someone you'll only know in passing? Maybe they're just the bartender at your favorite pub. Maybe a year from now that one bartender will be your best friend. 

My art is about these quick, immediate impressions that I gather from people."
